Arrive in Chengdu
In the morning drive to Chengdu Giant Panda Base of Breeding and Research. Founded in 1985, today there are over 50 giant pandas living there. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a walk at the Broad and Narrow Lanes (Kuan Xiangzi and Zhai Xiangzi). It consists 3 alleys: Kuan Alley, Zhai Alley, and Jing Alley. Chengdu
We leave Chengdu for Tangjiahe today. En route visit of Sanxingdui Museum. This site is recognized as one of the most important ancient remains in the world for its vast size, lengthy period and enriched cultural contents. Chengdu - Guanghan - Qingxi - Tangjiahe Natural Reserve
Founded in 1978 and approved as a national reserve by the State Council of China in 1986, with an area of 40,000 hectares, the Sichuan Tangjiahe Natural Reserve is purposed to protect the rare giant panda and its fragile habitat and other flora and fauna in the area. Tangjiahe Natural Reserve
Leave hotel at 07:00 am with meal box. Walk to Red-Stone River. En route look for and observe birds of Chinese Monal Pheasant, blood pheasant, Chinese Hazel Grouse, and golden pheasant ect., as well as animal like takin. Have lunch at Bai Xiong Ping (White Bear Ground). In the afternoon walk back to hotel. Today’s trekking involves you in a round trip of about 30 kms.
Tangjiahe Natural Reserve
Leave hotel at 07:00 am with meal box. Walk to Red-Stone River. Guangyuan - Yangxian
After breakfast drive to the Foping Nature Reserve and take pictures in the Panda Valley, such as golden monkey, panda, crested ibis, golden pheasant etc.
Yangxian - Foping Nature Reserve
Observation and photograph of the wild animals and birds all day long in the reserve, meeting with snub-nosed monkey, giant panda, crested ibis and so on.
Foping Nature Reserve
Drive to Xian (176 kilometers, 3 hours and 19 minutes), the capital city of the Shaaxi province. Visit the Museum of Terracotta Warriors. An inside museum has been built over these pits, covering a floor space of 20,000 square meters and displaying 8,000 life-size terracotta warriors, 100 or so chariots, and 30,000 weapons-an assemblage famed as the Eighth World Wonder and a world cultural heritage site.
