Chengdu – Leshan – Emei Shan
Early in the morning take the sightseeing bus to Leidongping Bus Station along the 52-kilometer zigzag mountain road. Upon arrival, we take the cable car to the Golden Summit. With an altitude of 3099 meters, if the weather is fine, the view is amazing; the verdant forest waves surge along the mountain; Min River, Qingyi River and Dadu River are like three pieces of silk; Mt. Daxue and Mt. Gongga seem to stretch to the horizon; the sun emerges with all shimmering rays through the surging
Emei Shan – Chengdu
In the morning drive to Chengdu Giant Panda Base of Breeding and Research. Founded in 1985, today there are over 50 giant pandas living there. In the afternoon transfer to the airport, fly to Jiuzhaigou (Nine-villages Valley), which is listed as a World Natural Heritage and reputed as a “fairyland” with its fantastic natural view. It is named after the nine Tibetan villages in the scenic area.
Chengdu – Jiuzhaigou
Walking and sightseeing the whole day in the three valleys of Jiuzhaigou (Nine-villages Valley). As the water, the “soul of Jiuzhaigou”, is pure and crystal-like and rich in colors, there is an adage saying that no water is worth your attention after your visit to Jiuzhaigou.
Jiuzhaigou
In the morning drive to visit the Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Scenic Spot which is listed as a World Natural Heritage. Huanglong is marked by its low-temperature and highly calcified Karst landform, which forms numerous valuable colored ponds. In the afternoon transfer to the airport, fly back to Chengdu.
Air Chengdu - Lijiang
The Lijiang Old Town is famous for its old wooden houses and the layout of the town’s streets. It has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Stroll through the old town Lijiang. Then visit of Hei Long Tan (Black Dragon Pool), which is located in the northern foot of the Elephant Hill. The summits of the Yulong Snow Mountain are clearly reflected in this pond. Lijiang
In the morning drive about 200 kilometers to Dali, the ancient capital of Nanzhao Kingdom and hometown of Bai minority. On the way, visit the local residences of Bai minority at Xizhou. In the afternoon visit of San Ta Si (Three Pagoda Temple) in the northwest outskirts of Dali. Then stroll in the alleys of the ancient small town Dali. The well preserved ancient city gates and the historic buildings show the city’s long history.
Lijiang - Dali
In the morning transfer to the bus station, drive to Kunming by shuttle bus. Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, is also called “Spring City” due to its fine climate all year round. Yunnan in Chinese means "at the south of the clouds". In the afternoon visit of the West Hill with the Longmen Caves.
Dali - Kunming
After the breakfast drive to Shilin, a county of the Sani minority, to visit the Stone Forest. The bizarre karst stone rocks feature in various formation and some of them tower above to 30 m high. Drive back to Kunming, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province. Except Han-Chinese, 13 ethnic groups of Miao, Bouyei, Dong, Tujia, Yi, Gelao, Shui, Hui, Bai, etc have been living here for generations.
Air Kunming - Guiyang
In the morning drive to Anshun to visit the Dragon Palace - a marvelous place with the biggest in-cave waterfall and the longest under-ground river in China. We will take a boat ride into The Dragon’s Place Cave, here you may have the opportunity to see different stalagmites and stalactites. Afterwards we drive to visit Huangguoshu Waterfall. Guiyang – Huangguoshu
Drive to Xingyi (about 4 hours). At first visit of Wanfenglin, the 10,000 Peak Forest. The area is known for its karst outcrops and famous for its deep rift, waterfalls and curtains of calcium deposits. Then walk along the Tianxing Hualang (gallery) in Malinghe Valley – a “beautiful scar on earth”.
Huangguoshu – Xingyi
In the morning drive to Pingba county, enjoy the ancient architecture of Wulong Temple in the Tiantaishan Mountain. The afternoon's program highlights the remaining culture of the old Han (Chinese) ethnic group. The ancestors of these villagers migrated from Jiangxi Province to Guizhou Province in the Ming Dynasty. We will visit Tianlong Old Han village.
