Chengdu – Emeishan
Leave in the morning for Leshan. Upon arrival in Leshan visit the Grand Buddha in Lingyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 years of construction. Enjoy the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world (71-meter high). Carved on the cliff face, the sculpture is well designed with perfect balance and effective water drainage system. Emeishan – Leshan – Zigong
After breakfast visit of Zigong Dinosaur Museum, which is one of the three biggest dinosaur museums in the world built on an archaeological site of dinosaur fossils. The museum stores nearly all species of dinosaurs living in Jurassic era. Afterwards visit of Zigong Salt Industry History Museum. In addition, we will take a short excursion to Shenhaijing, the earliest salt well on the planet dug by man power without any use of modern machinery. In the afternoon we leave for Dazu.
Zigong –Dazu
Dazu is the home of the world famous Buddhist carving arts. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the Dazu Rock Carvings are made up of 75 protected sites containing some 50,000 statues, with over 100,000 Chinese characters forming inscriptions and epigraphs. Dazu - Chongqing
Enjoy the great mountains along the big river. In the morning reach the foot of the Shibaozhai. Located at the north bank of the Yangtze River, the stockaded village is just a 9 story-pavilion built on the top of an steep and isolate peak. Yangtze River Cruise
In the morning pass by Qutang Gorge. Though the shortest covering a distance of 8 kilometers. It is most majestic and dangerous gorge among the Three.
