Chengdu - Sanxingdui Museum - Mianyang
Drive to Pingwu, visit Bao'en Si temple. It is a Buddhist Monastery, the history of it date back to the 15th Century. The temple is famous for its glazed roof tiles, the same tiles were used for the Forbidden City in Beijing. With a size of 278 by 100 meters, it is one of the largest Buddhist temple in Sichuan. Then drive to Jiuzhaigou.
Mianyang - Pingwu - Jiuzhaigou
Jiuzhaigou is a fairyland and paradise, it’s composed of three valleys forming a Y-shape. If there is really a fairy land in the world, it would be Jiuzhaigou Valley. It is a natural masterpiece. The mountains are green and graceful, the water is crystal clear and brightly colored. That makes a picturesque and magnificent scenery. Beauty is a harmonious unity of primitiveness, colors, shapes and ringing. It is the culmination of landscape aesthetics.
Jiuzhaigou
In the morning drive to visit Huanglong National Forest Park. Wander on the mountain and enjoy the beautiful karst landscape. Then take the cable car downhill. Drive to Chuanzhusi.
Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong - Chuanzhusi
Drive via Ruoergai to Langmusi, passing through the endless steppe, inhabited by Tibetan nomads who move from place to place without rest. The famous war-horses were bred in Ruoergai by Chinese army. Arrival in Langmusi, visit the Taktsang Lhamo Monastery (Langmusi Si).

Drive to Gansu province. In Hezuo visit Milarepa Monastery. Late in the afternoon arrival in Xiahe, capital of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (2900 m). In Xiahe, you will visit Labrang Monastery, the most important monastic center on the northeast border of the Tibet region after Kumbum Monastery. This monastery was bulit in 1710, it is one of the Six-Pillar monasteries. It has been used over centuries as a connection between Tibetan and Mongolian Lamaism.
Langmusi Si - Xiahe
Drive to Tongren, visit Longwu monastery of Gelukpa sect which was initially constructed in Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) as a monastery of Sakya-sect and Wutun village the center of Tibetan Regong-Art, which is a successful mixture of religion and folk art.
Xiahe – Tongren
In the morning drive to Xining, the capital of Qinghai province. This city is mainly inhabited with Tibetans but also a home of Uygur, Kazak and Hui minorities. Visit Kumbum Monastery (Ta'er Si) of Gelukpa-sect, which was built in 1560 in Huangzhong county and also one of the six grand monasteries in theTibetan area. Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Lamaistic "yellow hat sect", was born here. As Kumbum-monastery has always been playing an important role to connect the Mongolian with Lamaism,
Tongren – Xining
In the morning drive across over Sun-and-Moon mountain (Ri Yue Shan) to Koko Nor Lake (Qinghai Hu). In 641 Wencheng princess of Tang Dynasty passed by this mountain where today a sun-pavilion and a moon-pavilion are built on the summit for people to have a break. Xining
Drive to Lanzhou, en routen visit Binling Buddhist cave Monastery. After crossing the Yellow River, reach the "Caves of the 1000 Buddha temple." The oldest caves and niches can be traced back to the 4/5 Century AD.
Xiahe - Bingling Si - Lanzhou
In the morning visit the provincial museum (Silk Road Museum). In the afternoon transfer to the airport and departure from Lanzhou.
