Train Beijing – Mt. Wutai
Full day visit of Mt. Wutai, one of the four most famous Buddhist holy mountains in China. It is as famous as Mt. Emeishan in Sichuan Province, Mt. Putuoshan in Zhejiang Province, and Mt. Jiuhuashan in Anhui Province, all of which are renowned as the four sacred Buddhist Mountains. Today we will spend the whole morning to explore the holy mountain. Visit of Waitai peaks and temples: Pusa Ding Peak, Xiantong Si Temple, Taiyuan Si Temple and Luohou Si Temple etc.
Mt. Wutai
In the morning, we head for Taiyuan, the provincial capital of Shanxi. Upon arrival in Taiyuan, visit of Jinci Temple, a combination of historical cultural relics and beautiful landscapes in the southeast of Taiyuan. Then transfer to the airport and fly to Chengdu, provincial capital of Sichuan and home of Giant Pandas. On arrival, meet your guide and drive to check in your hotel.
Drive Mt. Wutai – Taiyuan, Fly Taiyuan – Chengdu
In the morning drive to Chengdu Giant Panda Base of Breeding and Research. Founded in 1985, today there are over 50 giant pandas living there. Then visit the famous Buddhist temple of Wenshu Yuan (Temple of Manjusri). Wenshu Monastery is the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. Initially built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), all the precious relics, a piece of the broken skull of Xuan Zhang, a renowned monk of the Tang Dynasty, is the rarest. Full day sightseeing at Mt. Jiuhua. In the morning, transfer by sightseeing shuttle bus to Min Yuan spot. Then walk to the highest temple on Jiuhua Mountain - Tiantai Temple via the ancient Baijingtai (footprint of Jin Ksitigarbharaja). Overview on Jiuhua Town if the weather is fine. Hangzhou – Ningbo – Mt. Putuo Shan
In the morning, pay a visit to Fayu Monastery, which is located at the foot of Fodingshan (Foding Mountain), at the north end of 1000 step Beach. Then hike up to visit Huiji Monastery, which is located near the top of Fodingshan. Most active visitors and pilgrims take the concrete steps from Fayu Temple. Mt. Putuo Shan – Shanghai
In the morning visit of Yufo Si Temple, built in 1882. Shanghai Buddhist College is founded in the temple on May 29, 1942. Then visit of Waitan (Bund). As one of the most recognizable architectural symbols of Shanghai, the Bund site shows a portion of the historic center of the foreign presence in Shanghai and its transformation in recent times.
