Rilong: Changping Valley at Mt Siguniang
In the morning, hiking to discover birds in Shuangqiao Valley at Mt. Siguniang. Then drive to Danba. Visit Jiaju Tibetan Village in Danba.
Rilong – Danba
After breakfast, drive to visit the Suopo Blockhouses and then drive to Kangding along the Wadan Road by the Dadu River. Bird watching en route.
Danba – Kangding
Today we leave Kangding for Labahe Natural Resort via Muge Tso, Luding, and Erlangshan Tunnel. Bird watching at Muge Tso. On arrival at Labahe Natural Resort at Erlangshan, visit of the primeval forest, Xianlu Ting Pavilion, Feicui Lang veranda, Wucai gu Valley, and Donghai (Cave sea) etc. At night, around 09:00p.m.-05:00a.m., wild deers often can be found at the mountain foot. Kangding – Muge Tso – Luding – Labahe Natural Resort
Get up early and go birding in the spot. Then drive to Wawu Shan (Highest point: 3522m), which is located in Hongya county, about 180km away from Chengdu downtown. Mt. Wawu Shan is reputed as one of the birth place of Taoism, the hometown of Gezihua / dove trees, and the kingdom of azaleas. There are over one thousand animal species living there. In the morning, drive to Mt. Emei. Take the sightseeing bus to Leidongping Bus Station along the 52-kilometer zigzag mountain road. Upon arrival, take the cable car to the Golden Summit. Check in your hotel. And then move to visit the Golden Summit. With an altitude of 3099 meters, if it is fine, you will have an amazing view; the verdant forest waves surge along the mountain. Get up early and move to the Golden Summit. On sunny days, you can enjoy the sunrise which is one of the four marvelous spectacles: the cloud sea, the sunrise, the Buddhist Halo, and the Magic Lanterns. The spectacles can be admired based on individual luckiness. Then go back to the hotel and enjoy your breakfast. Full day hiking in the forest for bird watching.
Mt. Emei: Golden Summit / Jinding
Get up early and go birding around Xixiangchi. After breakfast, hike downward to Xianfeng Temple. Full day bird watching along the way and around Xianfeng Temple.
Xixiangchi – Xianfeng Temple
In the morning, bird watching around Xianfeng Temple. After breakfast, keep hiking downward to Wuxiangang via Jiulaodong, Hongchunping and Qingyinge. Then transfer to the mountain foot. Visit of Baoguo Temple.
Xianfeng Temple – Baoguo Temple
Get up early, hike in, the forest around Fuhu Temple for birding. Then go back to the hotel to enjoy your breakfast, and drive to Leshan. Upon arrival in Leshan visit of the Grand Buddha in Lingyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 years of construction.
