Chengdu – Liujiang Ancient Town – Mt. Wawu Shan
Get up early and hike into the forest, full day of sightseeing in the mountain to see wild birds and other rare animals and plants. In the afternoon, we move down to the mountain foot.
Mt. Wawu
In the morning, drive to Mt. Emei. Take the sightseeing bus to the Leidongping Bus Station along the 52-kilometer zigzag mountain road. Upon arrival, take the cable car to the Golden Summit. Check in your hotel. And then move to visit the Golden Summit. With an altitude of 3099 meters, if the weather is fine, you will have an amazing view; the verdant forest waves surge along the mountain. Visit of Huanzeng Si Temple and the golden statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (Puxian Pusa)
Mt. Wawu Shan –– Mt. Emei
Get up early and move to the Golden Summit. On sunny days, you can enjoy the sunrise which is one of the four marvelous spectacles: the cloud sea, the sunrise, the Buddhist Halo, and the Magic Lanterns. The spectacles can be admired based on individual luckiness. Then back to the hotel and enjoy your breakfast. Full day hiking in the forest for bird watching.
Mt. Emei: Golden Summit / Jinding
Get up early and go birding around Xixiangchi. After breakfast, hike downward to Xianfeng Temple. Full day bird watching along the way and around Xianfeng Temple.
Xixiangchi – Xianfeng Temple
In the morning, bird watching around Xianfeng Temple. After breakfast, keep hiking downward to Wuxiangang via Jiulaodong, Hongchunping and Qingyinge. Then transfer to the mountain foot. Visit Baoguo Temple.
Xianfeng Temple – Baoguo Temple
Get up early, hike in the forest around Fuhu Temple for birding. Then go back to the hotel to enjoy your breakfast, and drive to Leshan. Upon arrival in Leshan visit of the Grand Buddha in Lingyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 years of construction. Enjoy the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world (71-meter high). Then boating on Minjiang River to see the front site of the Grand Buddha and the “hidden sleeping Buddha”. Af
